Councilor for the Lazio Region: "BMT is a precious opportunity, for us it's the first time"
Valentina Corrado talks about it to Dire in view of the 25th edition of the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange scheduled from 18 to 20 March.
“The BMT represents an important showcase to show the tourism potential of our territory and the strategic assets in which we are investing, as well as a precious opportunity for our tourism operators who will be able to meet the numerous buyers present. Participating for the first time in an event marked by discussion and meeting, and do it this year, when 25 years have passed since its creation, it's significant. We want to leave the two years of the pandemic behind us and intercept every possible opportunity to relaunch tourism, the driving force of our economy". As at Dire the Tourism Councilor of the Lazio Region, Valentina Corrado, in view of the 25th edition of the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange scheduled at Overseas Exhibition of Naples from 18 to 20 March.
“They will be intense days of discussion – he continues – which will serve to take stock of the situation on incoming and outgoing tourism, watch the changes in the market, intercept the news and breathe the excitement of a sector that is eager to restart. This is where we want to promote our riches and excellence through storytelling capable of representing and fascinating us. Telling a rich and varied offer including art, culture, hospitality, wellness, religious journeys, major events, parks, starred food and wine, villages, peculiarities that make Lazio a luxury or wedding destination, for example, a leading destination in Italian and foreign tourist scenarios".
Corrado explains that Lazio "focuses on our uniqueness, on our varied offer, on the potential of a territory that is Rome and beyond, because Lazio is an eternal discovery. As a Region we support our excellence, the competitiveness of operators, we encourage dialogue between public and private. We aim to increase the stay of tourists throughout the regional territory, we promote the discovery of lesser-known places and a model of sustainable development aiming at deseasonalisation: these are the objectives of the measure'More nights, more dreams. + Experience', usable by Italian and foreign tourists from the end of March, with which we give away up to two free nights' stay to those who choose us and a series of tourist activities and services whose costs are significantly financed by the Region".
