The new tourism maps at BMT: The fair from March 14th in Naples. At the Mostra d'Oltremare the XXVII edition of the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange

Naples, 24 January – The new frontiers of emerging, inclusive and sustainable tourism will be at the center of the twenty-seventh edition of BMT, the most important B2B fair in the Mediterranean, a strategic event for operators in the sector and beyond. The event, organized by Progecta, a leading company in the organization of professional fairs, returns to the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples on 14, 15 and 16 March, with constantly growing numbers.

“It is time to reflect on the future – underlines Angioletto De Negri, owner of Progecta -, on how the uncertain current scenarios, I am thinking first of the Covid emergency and then of the wars underway at the moment in the world, have upset everything, including tourism maps. We feel the need to promote a new way of operating, attentive to the many opportunities offered by the internet. It's time to evolve, adapting the offers of travel agencies to completely new requests, to a final consumer who is increasingly looking for higher quality services, qualified operational assistance, with a product guarantee that must be unquestionable. We will discuss all this, and much more, at BMT, which confirms and relaunches itself as the reference fair for the sector in the Center and South and throughout the Mediterranean".

During the three days of the event, in six pavilions of the Mostra d'Oltremare, 400 exhibitors and 140 national and international buyers will be hosted, with six thousand accredited travel agencies, 220 media, 18 events including conferences, presentations and training courses, and four thematic b2b workshops.

The story of Italy, with its varied tourist offers, will cross the entire country with the presentation of the unique services of the regions of Campania, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Trentino, Basilicata, Calabria, Valle d'Aosta, Lazio and Abruzzo, as well in the presence of the National Tourism Agency, Enit. There is a strong institutional presence among the pavilions of the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange also thanks to the Sardinia Region, which confirms a 300 square meter stand and participates with operators and accommodation facilities in the area.

Croatia will be the guest country of honor of the twenty-seventh edition of BMT. Present with a 110 square meter stand, it will be promoted institutionally, with the visit of Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac, and commercially, with the participation of various tourism operators. Among the novelties of 2024 is a strategic agreement between the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange and Fagri, the Italian Agricultural Supply Chain, chaired by Gianfranco Grieci: in the Mediterranean Wine and Food and Travel pavilion, dedicated to tourism linked to land products, it will be possible to meet over 100 companies from all over Italy. The Astoi Village has been renovated and expanded, with 20 stands aimed at the main Italian tour operators. “Agenzia per Amica”, a private network born in Southern Italy and now spread throughout the country, doubles the exhibition spaces and confirms the partnership with Unicredit, organizer of a meeting to present the main ITs in the tourism sector of Central and Southern Italy.
