The presence of the Regions is increasing for the fair in Naples on 18, 19 and 20 March
Campania Tourism Councilor: "The hope is for a spring of rebirth"
The Mediterranean Tourism Exchange returns in 2022 with the historic early spring event and confirms the dates of 18-20 March 2022, without slipping, at the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples. The fair created by Angioletto de Negri, patron of Progecta, arrives at its 25th edition and is preparing to celebrate this milestone with the important task of contributing decisively to the relaunch of a sector seriously penalized by the pandemic. The spaces to accommodate the many accredited operators are increasing, just as the number of participating Italian regions is growing, with l’incoming That will be the theme of BMT's 25th anniversary celebration. “The exhibition spaces intended for the Regions – explains de Negri – will be physically scattered along the exhibition area to promote an overall vision of the tourism sector and relations with professionals”.
Per ENIT president Giorgio Palmucci “in 2021 the country confirmed itself as the most popular destination and will do so again next year. It will not only be the actual destinations that determine the choice of Italy as a destination, but also the experiences and natural wonders, as well as the hotels and resorts, ecotourism, food and wine experiences, glamping, outdoor sports , shopping, spas and thermal wellness, yachts and boat holidays. Excellent services and holidays complete with every comfort, in a country whose priority is welcoming people in complete safety, especially in the post-Covid period. This highlights how tourism will play the leading role in economic growth”. Among the favorite destinations of Bella Italia, there is growing consensus for the farmhouses in Umbria and Tuscany.
The spotlight is also on theoutgoing with the sector starting to see the light again also thanks to theopening of other 'covid free' tourist corridors for non-EU travel. In fact, in Aruba, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Dominican Republic, Egypt (limited to the tourist areas of Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam) are added Cuba, Singapore, Turkey, Thailand (limited to the island of Phuket), Oman and French Polynesia .
The active protagonist of the fair is the hostess Campania region which is focusing heavily on tourism both in terms of policies and investments and which represents an excellence of hospitality tourism in the Mediterranean. “The wish – highlights theTourism councilor of the Campania Region, Happy Casucci – is that of one spring of rebirth for the 25th edition of the BMT. We will start again from Naples and Campania with an in-person trade fair event in the certainty that our investments in this sector are the bearers of a project resulting from a strategic idea. We are promoting a vision aimed at developing a more competitive tourist offer based on the hospitality of our destinations, whether new or consolidated, but all equally capable of proving themselves adequate to the constantly evolving tastes of travellers. The next summer season will be a crucial moment to verify the ability to plan a tourist-cultural context, now free from health emergencies, which is reassuring with respect to the demand for social, economic and environmental sustainability. I am sure that we will be able, together with the system of companies and private operators, to best interpret the needs of Italian and foreign visitors”.
